The 2,800 ft Norfolk Southern Railway Bridge crossing the Ocmulgee River in Lumber City, Georgia. The bridge operator's shed atop the structure gave him a good view of the action along the tracks as well as on the river. When the bridge was constructed in 1916, steamboat traffic had already begun to decline.
