To help restore medical facilities weakened by the worst outbreak of Ebola in history, medical aid organization Direct Relief is sending 100 Health Facility Supply Modules to 93 clinical sites in Liberia and Sierra Leone that were forced to close or partially close because of the epidemic. The kits contain 36 of the essential supplies needed to operate a functional medical clinic, including items such as surgical gown sets, gloves, masks, lanterns, disposal bins, and non-contact thermometers. The kits will be sent to health care partners Direct Relief has been working with since before the West Africa Ebola outbreak. In Liberia, they will be used by Last Mile Health in Grand Geddeh and Rivercess Counties. In Sierra Leone, they will be used by Wellbody Alliance in Kono District and Medical Research Centre in Bo, Tonkolili, and Bombali districts.
