Kopychyntsi (Ukrainian: Копичинці, Polish: Kopyczyńce, Yiddish: קאפיטשיניץ‎) is a small city in Husiatyn Raion, Ternopil Oblast, Ukraine. According to the 2001 census, it had a population of 7,036. It is the birthplace of Vasyl Ivanchuk, a chess grandmaster; Israel Jacob Kligler, who led the effort of eradicating malaria in Mandatory Palestine; and Pinhas Lavon, an Israeli politician.
